Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote (Possible site work)

We are looking for a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join us in driving success through cutting-edge technology.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high performance and availability of our cloud infrastructure, and working closely with our development teams to streamline operations.

Your responsibilities will include:
– Collaborating with software engineers to understand and resolve code to environment issues, improving code deployment and release processes.
– Designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure systems.
– Automating processes for system updates and configuration changes.
– Defining and deploying monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on services.
– Performing root cause analysis for production errors and implementing solutions.
– Maintaining disaster recovery and backup systems.
– Participating in on-call rotation for incident management.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
– Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a DevOps role.
– Proficient in script languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash.
– Extensive experience with Linux/UNIX systems and the best practices for deploying applications to those stacks.
– Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
– Proficient with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI, Circle CI).
– Experience with infrastructure automation technologies like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
– Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and experience deploying and managing services in a cloud environment.
– Understanding of network topologies and common network protocols and services.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Exceptional teamwork skills, capable of leading and directing teams and companies on how to use Agile/DevOps practices and values.
– Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable skills include:
– Relevant certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer, etc.).
– Experience with security protocols and protecting sensitive data.
– Familiarity with database technologies, both relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, etc.).
– SC Clearance desirable.
